Jaycees to present $1600 cheque to Hastings hospital

The Hastings Jaycee chapter will present a cheque for about $1600 to the Hastings Memorial Hospital matron, Miss E. M. Hall, tonight.

The Jaycee chapter will hold a presentation dinner when the cheque, the proceeds of a rubbish drive by the Jaycees, will be given to the fund to establish a coronary care unit at the hospital.

About sixty guests have been invited to the function, including many transport operators who assisted the drive by lending trucks to the Jaycees.  Guest speaker will be the manager of Napier’s marineland, Mr. A. Andren.
