JUST BACK FROM AUSTRALIA

Mr. and Mrs. C. Athol Williams of Te Aute station, Hawke’s Bay, have recently had an interesting holiday in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.  In Sydney Mr. Williams was much impressed with the fact that new buildings were “building down” as well as up – some going down four stories, seemingly into rock. Inter alia, he spent much time studying humanitarian work and personally noting conditions of living among the “down and outs” in Australia.
