QUALITY BEEF

ENTRY FROM “TAURAPA” STATION

PRIME HEAVY HEIFER BEEF TO £10 1/-

Put through the ring at a comparatively late stage of the fat cattle sale at Stortford Lodge  yesterday afternoon, an entry of prime ox and heifer beef on  account of Mr M. S. C. Gordon, “Taurapa” Station, met keen competition, a particularly well finished P.A. heifer, of outstanding quality, from this draft realising £10 1s while other offerings of prime heifer beef sold at £9 9s and £8 16s. Amongst the prime ox beef offered from this source were three Hereford bullocks at £11 12s, while a Polled Angus and two Red Poll bullocks from the draft made the same figure. This was the best finished station draft penned yesterday and the cattle were of the quality which has come to be expected with this source.
