Randall House in Napier caters for children of all ages and the 27 children at present there range from 2 to 16 years. [to France Ho]use, a farm training establishment at Eskdale, north of Napier. Set [in the fertile] Esk Valley, the home trains boys in orchard work, agriculture and pastoral farming. Controlled by the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Homes Society, the institutions are maintained by the incomes from legacies and public subscription.
