NOTICE

IMPORTANT

The attention of members is drawn to the fact that six o’clock closing at hotels will operate from December 1st.

The Committee desires to strongly impress upon all Club members that if the Club’s present reputation is to be maintained, it will be necessary for every member to exercise the greatest possible discretion on every occasion when inviting any non-members residing locally to partake of liquid refreshment on the premises after 6 p.m.

Members must see how very detrimental to the interests and reputation of the Club such a practice will be if it becomes common.

The committee recognises that at times under certain circumstances such an invitation is permissible, and they do not wish to prohibit it altogether, but they rely upon the good sense of all members to see that the privilege is not abused under the new conditions.
