Dear Mr. Spiller,

I am desired by my Directors to write and thank you for the two performances given by the Napier Frivolity Minstrels at the Exhibition on Saturday and Monday evening last. The programmes submitted were exceedingly well received and the large Festival Hall here was full to capacity both nights: in fact on Saturday night we could have filled the Hall two or three times over, and this is a hall that will seat 1500 people.

We appreciated very much your visit and the efforts you put forward to make the entertainments the success they undoubtedly were.

Will you please convey to all your party our expression of thanks and appreciation. Of all the numerous engagements we have had during the Exhibition period I should say that none have been more popular than yours.
