We must start Schoolwear, Primary, Intermediate, & High Schools. But this doesn’t follow through to boyswear. (Boyswear has been taken over by the Big Chainstores)
But teenage wear must be seen as a area that could be developed a lot more. With Brand names like KUTA LINES, but another surf lable [label] of good value is needed. (We are hopefull [hopeful] of obtaining one.) Hallenstein type image would be good for this Department. Also a good image for the hole [whole] shop.
Unisex is also important to keep in mind in this department. Aertex shirts, Country look, Moleskin’s, Line 7., Canterbury clothing, etc all good lines in this erea [area] and be coming [becoming] stronger.
The young worker and newly Married do not seem to feature at this time.
We then seem to jump to the over 40 age plus. Starting with cheeper [cheaper] cloting [clothing] (some retired people like this area also.) As this group gets a little older they seem to like better value for their dollar. Business wear ie Business Shirts, Ties, socks etc, is also important.
Being a suburban store the market can get confused and one can try to be all things to all people. It is mutch [much] harder to specialize.
Basic supplys [supplies] is important to maintane [maintain] ie, Socks, (dress, work, walk,) Underwear, (basic, warm, fashion,) Ties, Belts, and Sportswear also some work wear. The up keep of these Departments is vital. Hire Suits is another service Department.
I belive [believe] our shop is well placed in terms of location and is bright and well laid out. Window displays needs some attention and is being addrest [addressed] at the moment.
