Dear Tom.

I am sending you a postcard of the village do you rcognise it, It is not likely to impress a stranger is it. How did Mary get through yesterday, I suppose you went over. I forgot they would be on the express, or I would have gone down & given them a little [?]. I am not going to Wanganui just now. I got word the morning I left Hastings to say not to come at present, so I am coming back to Hastings on Saturday in time to play hockey that afternoon. We got on alright at the tournament but have to play off for the cup on the 21st June, so I am not [..] that. I am not going to Wanganui. Well goodbye. […]  the girls are treating you well. There is a dance here tonight. I am trying to coax one of the boys to take me.
