Postcard From JBG World War One

SEEING THINGS IN LONDON.

If, when out in London town,
in taxi, train or bus
You see the Marble Arch like this
And Fleet Street looking thus
Permit me my opinion,
And don’t get in a huff
But take my tip
And get home quick,
You’ve had about enough!

Dear Dot
I hope you won’t for a moment think that I was ever in a condition to see London as this p.p.c. depicts. – still you can bet your boots that I am having a nice time now, taking all things into consideration. Am just undergoing 14 days sick-leave, which means that I am practically well again. Hoping you are also. Kind regards to all  Yours sincerely J.B.G.
