PROGRAMME

PART 1.

The Orphans ask you to rise and sing “The National Anthem;” then be seated while the Orphans render their National Chorus.   (Words by Orphan Beatson.)

1.   Chief Orphan T. Clarkson will now be crowned “Chief of our Unparalleled Club” and “King Pin of the Mother’s rest.”

2.   The Orchestra will delight the Audience with “Sunshine and Showers.”   (In the absence of Verbruyggen, Orphan Watson will conduct.)

3.   Orphan D. Crooks will sing a real “Crookie.”

4.   Orphan Parson T. B. McNeill will address you Ecclesiastically.

5.   Strains from the Violin will now reach your Ears from Orphans Watson (No. 10) and Water(s).

6.   Orphan Harry Poppelwell sings. “I’ve Got My Captain Working for Me now.”   The words are great.

7.   Orphan Jock Craig (the Heilan’ Orphan) – aged 65 and still single – will sing, “When I was 21.”

8.   The “Country Girl,” will arrive as selected by the Orchestra.

Interval of Ten Minutes for Lubrication and Overhaul.

PART 2.

1.   The Orchestra will Inspire You with “Entr’acte,” entitled “Teddy’s Trombone.” Soloist : Orphan Percy George.

2.   Orphan French – now British – will deliver Melodious Sounds.

3.   Orphan Tom Brennan will tell you about Mrs. Dugan and her Champagne Bottles.

4.   Ribcracker’s at the Piano by Orphan Greenhow. How’s That?

5.   Instrumental Item by Orphan John Knox, on his Benzinetinophone, entitled “Atlantic Indian Strains.”

6.   Orphan Davies and Party will now render “Come Feather the Rest.” Do Your Bit and Make This Item a Financial Success.

7.   A Character Sketch by Orphan D. McCorkindale, entitled “A Clean Sweep.”

8.   Orphan Fred Thomas will now introduce “Mountain Lovers” on the Havelock Hills, with Violin Obligato.

9.   Orphans H. and F. Poppelwell will collaborate in “The Musical Melody Man.”

10.   Le Coup de Grace by the Heilan’ Orphan Jock Craig, “A Wee Doch and Doris.”
