MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Napier Operatic Society, it is my pleasure to welcome you to tonights performance of ‘Stepping Out’.

This production is a first for this Society in as much as it is a “play with music” rather than a “musical”.

‘Stepping Out’ which won the “comedy of the year” at the Standard Drama Awards 1984 is set in the present time and traces the lives, laughs and loves of a group of people from vastly different backgrounds, who for reasons of their own attend Mavis Turner’s weekly tap dance class in a North London Church hall.

My thanks to our Director Tessa-May Brown and her team who have brought us this bright and sparkling production.

All that remains is for you to sit back, relax and allow us to wine, dine and entertain you.

Please enjoy this evenings performance of ‘Stepping Out’.
