PERFORMING ARTISTS

Debbie Harwood
Has been involved in the entertainment business since moving from Hawkes Bay to Auckland in 1981. She has since won three NZ Music Awards, has released solo singles, currently has an album of love songs in the shops called Peaches- So This is Love, toured as backing vocals for Jimmy Barnes in Australia, well known for her time in When the Cats Away, has hosted both radio and TV shows. Debbie produced a wonderful Christmas album last year called Angels and recently was involved with Netball NZ producing an album with the NZ Netballers prior to the world cup. Still playing regularly in the Auckland music scene.

Kim Willoughby
Has sung in various bands over the years including The Gurlz, When the Cats Away, The Scanners. She starred in the movie Queen City Rocker and co fronted Saturday Live. Life slowed down in 1994 when she had twin girls and has only recently got back into the music scene.

Drew
Started doing television advertisements when he was 4 and performing as a Singer when he was 6.
He has appeared in the TV series William Tell, Enid Blyton, William Shatners Twist in the tale and Oscar and friends.
He also records songs and backing vocals for Learning Media.
Drew has been in three series of Young Entertainers, the first series when he was eleven.

Danielle
Started dancing at 4 and singing at 6. She has been in the shows Oliver and Starchild, she had the lead role in Annie and was Little Cosette in the Wellington production of Les Miserables.
Danielle has been recording songs and backing vocals for learning media since she was 7 and has been in three series of Young Entertainers, doing the first series aged 11.

FM
Well known local band who have grown in popularity over the last 2 years. A band in high demand over the ‘Ball’ season and for special events in Hawkws [Hawke’s] Bay and beyond. They produce an excellent range of music and enjoy doing it.

John Fletcher
Winner of many contests around New Zealand. A professional musician/vocalist who is well known to Hawkes Bay audiences. He has supported international acts around NZ and has performed in the United States and Australia with outstanding success.

Adrienne Toner
Been singing on stage since the age of 5. She is well known in The Hawkes Bay music scene and is currently in a two piece with husband Pai Fletcher.

Lunar Soup
Rick Toner & Janeene Ryder. Both have been in the music scene from a young age.
Rick has his own business with a Billy Connolly Tribute show he takes around the country along with Lunar Soup.
Janeene is recognised as one of the most talented female vocal performers today and has a voice that commands attention everywhere she performs.
Lunar Soup are a must see act both for listening to and dancing to.

Jim Toner
Father of the well known family of country & western entertainers. Has lived in Hawkes Bay for 25 years after coming out from Scotland.

Alan Stephenson
Well known local artist currently performing around wineries as a duo with Annie Thorpe, named Alan & Annie.

Kawekas
Well known HB Musicians that will perform as the backing band for this years concert. Members are Tony Parker – Scottie [Scotty] Smith – Richard Nicholson.

Reignier School Choir
34 children aged from 7 – 11 years old. Accompanied by Suzanne Purdy, pianist and Sally Davies well known Napier flautist. Recorded their first CD named Reignier Rhapsody last year – orders being taken for another press. Last month both the adult and children choirs produced a very enjoyable and lively evening at the Frivs Theatre.
