Joined Broadcasting Board as office boy 2YA 1931; Varied programming and announcing work until 1940 then overseas 2nd NZEF, transferring to broadcasting unit as war correspondent 1943; Station Manager Napier 1945, then Ist NZBS (New Zealand Broadcasting Service) Concert Manager; managed concerts 1st three seasons National Orchestra; Appointed Station manager 4YA 1948, Station Manager 1YA 1950, District Manager Dunedin 1956; District Manager Auckland 1962-
