PUREAU, Te Ariki Nooare O Mana Ariki (Terry/Cookie)
Born December 10, 1927, Atiu, Rarotonga.
Passed away yesterday, May 5, 1998 at the sweet age of 70.
Husband of Ruth (44 years marriage).
Grandad came over from the Islands when he was 17.
When asked how he met Nan he said he was whistling at her when she was working at Farmers, eyeing her up.
And from that they had seven children, twenty-seven grandchildren and nine great-grand children and expecting still.
We love you Terry, Dad, Grandad, Cookie.
Lying in state at 600 Campbell Place, Raureka, Hastings.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 7, 1998, at the graveside, Mangaroa Cemetery at 3pm.
Thereafter, at the Hibernian Club, Cnr Nelson and Eastbourne Street, Hastings.
