Town Clerk’s Office
Hastings,

10th October, 1969.

Mr. H.B. Poppelwell,
P.O. Box 12,
HASTINGS.

Dear Sir,

With reference to your application dated 8th October 1969, for permission to sell raffle tickets outside the premises of McAra’s Limited on the corner of Heretaunga and Market Streets, I have to advise that according to my records, McAra’s Limited have previously granted the Hastings Boys’ High School Association permission to sell raffle tickets on their site on Wednesdays and Fridays until the 31st October.

It is not the Council’s policy to permit two Organisations to sell raffle tickets from the one site and, therefore, I would be obliged if you would clarify this matter with McAra’s Limited and advise me of the position.

Yours faithfully,
EJ Oaks
(E.J. Oaks)
TOWN CLERK.
