REES, George Raymond.
On June 8, 1997 after a short illness, at home in Napier, loved and respected friend of Graeme and Janette Birdsall, Pamela Gavin, Vaughan and Colleen Chote, Malcolm and Evelyn Gavin, loving grandfather of Kevin, Tony and Paula, Jason, Bridie, Todd and Blake.
Will be sadly missed.

REES, George Raymond.
On June 8, 1997, aged 72 years, peacefully at home after a short illness, loved husband of Shirley, loved father and father-in-law of Bryan and Lia, Patty and Paul Hapeta, Chrissy and Mua Matakatea, Riria and the late Steve, Tim and Dawn, loved step-father of Jannette and Graeme, Pam, Colleen and Vaughan, Malcolm, Evelyn, loved Popeye of all his grandchildren and great-great [grand] children.
He will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cancer Society either left at the service or posted directly to PO Box 1014, Hastings, would be appreciated.
A service for George will be held in St Augustine’s Anglican Church, cnr Latham St and Riverbend Rd, Napier on Wednesday at 1pm.
Private cremation to follow in Napier.
