Dear President Jim,

I write to thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality which received on the occasion of my official visit to your club.

I was most impressed with the general morale which is evident in the meeting and with the manner in which the message from President Imbassahy was received, and a study of the activities of your various committee plans shows that you are carrying his thoughts into action. I feel that our meetings in the early afternoon and again in the Club Assembly were worth while and I very much enjoyed the participation of all those present in our discussions.

I am very pleased to know that your Club is giving serious consideration to the formation of a second club in your territory. It has been the experience in almost every case that the sharing of Rotary with as many as possible in the community has had a strengthening effect on the club which does so. I know that such will be the case in Hastings. I shall be most interested to learn of progress in this matter and look forward to having the opportunity of appointing a Special Representative to carry your plans into effect. Please let me know if there is any special help I can give you, for I am just as interested as you are.

Thank you for taking me to see your Civic Centre project. It is a fine effort and has furnished Hastings with a handsome asset,
