Born Gisborne 8 July 1912. Married 1945 Marjorie Skinner; three children – Margaret, Francis, Ian Geoffrey.
Educated Gisborne High School; Auckland University College; Victoria University College, Wellington; Auckland Teachers’ College, Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Teaching.
Foundation principal Central Hawke’s Bay College 1959-69, relieving principal Gisborne Girls’ High School 1977-78.
Military service in RNZAF and RAF, commanding No 4 Squadron Royal Indian Air Force 1944-45; decorations include DSO, AE.
Leisure activities include gardening, cooking.
Address 151 Russell Street, Gisborne.
