SIDNEY, (nee Maurirere), Waitai Rerekitawhiti Ki Tu Mauarirere (Lily)
On June 6, 1998, after a brief illness surrounded by family at her residence, Tolaga Bay, aged 83 years.
Beloved wife of the late Tuahine Wiremu and loving mother of Matakino (Mazu) (Tolaga Bay), Claude and the late Daisy (Hastings), Tua and the late Jackie (Tolaga Bay), the late Pomare and Dinah (Gisborne), the late Willie, Margaret and Paewai, Lillian and Ehau Rangi (Hastings), Sam and Olive (Australia), Louise and Warren Cole (Flaxmere), Nan and Marshall Atkins (Gisborne), Diboy and Trina (Hastings), Maria (Hastings), Gordon and Ruth (Tolaga Bay), Michael and Diane (Australia), Marge and Roy Hutchins (Tolaga Bay), Paewai (Peewee) and Lele (Taradale), Mamae and Danny Hill (Gisborne), loving grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of all her Mokopuna, and a loving and wonderful mother and Nanny Nanny to all her extended families.
The funeral service will be held at Hinemaurea Marae, Mangatuna at 1pm on Monday, June 8, followed by interment at Tolaga Bay Public Cemetery.
