SMITH, Margaret (Te Rautauhinu) Rahera (nee Tihema) aka Aunty Babe.
Passed away on September 23, 1998, at Eventhorpe Rest Home, at the age of 75 years.
Margaret was originally from Bridge Pa, Hastings, but moved to Templeview nine years ago.
Margaret was the wife of the late Riki Smith of Nuhaka and mother of Naomi Strother (Templeview), Taunoa Smith (Templeview), Robert Smith (Hastings), Ngatai Smith (Templeview), Hawea Smith (Hastings), Hine Ruru (Hamilton), Keri Maere (Hastings), Matthew Smith (Templeview), Peina Smith (Templeview).
Nanny to 48 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Our Mother and Nanny will be remembered for her unconditional love for all people and also her continual service to all.
Margaret will be at the Te Rau Aroha Marae (GRB) at Templeview tonight Thursday, September 24, where a service will commence at 7pm.
All friends of the family are welcome to attend.
The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Chapel, Fosters Road, Templeview at 10am on Friday, September 25.
Margaret will then be taken to the Newstead Cemetery.
