St John’s Advertisement

Hello! I’m Benjamin Jones, aged 1 year and 7 months. If I decide to work at Bon Marche when I grow up, I’ll be the fifth generation of the family to do so. By then, of course, Bon Marche will be well into its second century. But compared to the Order of St John, Bon Marche’s years of service fade into absolute insignificance. Did you know that St John dates back to the 6th century? Over all those years, its motivation has been the same – Pro Fide, Pro Utilitate Hominum! Simply translated, that means ‘For the Faith and For the Benefit of Mankind’. Hastings is a better, safer place because of St John. Let’s give it the support it deserves – and needs so desperately.
