1974 Don Stewart joins National Mutual Life as an Insurance & Superannuation Adviser
1984 NZ National Mutual Advisers Assn elects Don Stewart as President
1986 DL Stewart & Associates Ltd established and operates as a non-aligned adviser from new premises at 216 Karamu Road, Hastings
1988 Offers investment services to clients to complement risk & superannuation services
1996 Offers Aegis Custodial Services to clients
1998 Firm changes name to Don Stewart Financial Services Ltd
2000 Nick Stewart joins firm and name is changed to Stewart Financial Group Ltd
2001 Relationship with Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) begins
Nick Stewart purchases 35% of the firm and joins the Board of Directors
2002 Develops ‘3 Factor’ NZ Core Equity model
Completes Pareto study & firm divests a number of accounts to focus on high net worth individuals, companies and trusts
2003 Engages services of external consultant for professional investment research
2004 Advisory Board established
2005 Six year corporate sponsorship of Project K begins
