Retired Presbyterian Minister.
Born 20 July 1917 Napier.
Educated Napier Central and Napier Boys’ High School; Hutt Valley High School; Auckland Teachers’ College; Otago University – Bachelor of Arts 1943; Knox Theological College, Dunedin – Diploma of Theology 1943; Auckland University – Master of Arts 1949.
Chaplain Lindisfarne College [Hastings] 1974-83; formerly school teacher, minister Masterton, London, Wellington, Dunedin.
Member Committee on Church Schools, Chaplains, convenor Presbyterian General Assembly Committees.
Broadcast talks “Confident Tomorrows” (1963), “The Shadow of his Hand” (1965); weekly column “The Minister Replies” (Dunedin: Evening Star, 1962-71); many amateur dramatic parts in Masterton Little Theatre Society, Otago University Dramatic Club.
Chaplain Occupation Forces Japan 1947-48, NZ Scottish Regiment, Territorial Army 1954-64.
