SYME, Madeline Yvonne (nee Fox).
On Wednesday evening May 21, 2008, most unexpectedly, yet peacefully at Waiapu House, Havelock North.
Dearly loved wife of the late Donald McFarlane Syme: beloved and cherished mother of Christina (Robertson-Foley): the late Antoinette: and very deeply loved mum and mother-in-law of Brandon and Sandra, cherished Nan of Jacinta, Oliver, and Max (all of Wellington).
Especially loved by Sandra Fox and Beverley Heard, Robert Foley (Australia), Jenny Syme (Wellington), Di, Mary, Joan, Margaret, and her “Tuesday Ladies” Raewyn and Janice.
Remembered with love by Mary Bruce-Douglas (London).
1921-2008
Aged 87 years young, – and bright.

Our deep and grateful thanks to Mrs Cheryl Robinson (Matron) and all the Nursing and Ancillary staff at Waiapu House for their care, love, consideration and Aroha towards mum; Dr Nicola McKendry who assisted mum during her final hour, and to Dr Colin Wakefield for his absolute professionalism and kindness over the years, and also Dr Gwenda Ward.
Mums life will be celebrated at St Lukes Anglican Church, Te Mata Road, Havelock North, on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at 2.30pm followed by a final farewell at the Hastings Crematorium Chapel.
In lieu of flowers mum would be most grateful for any “aspects of love” to the Hastings SPCA, and may be left at the service.
