TAYLOR, Melville Roy Churnside (Tip).
On September 6, 1997, peacefully at Napier Hospital.
In his 75th year.
Dearly loved husband of the late Betty, loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Fiona (Auckland), Ray and Cath (Auckland), David and Francie (Waipawa), Brian and Wendy (Waipawa), Pam and Geoff Blackberry (Tasmania),  Paul (Waipawa), Kerry and Eric Dunbar (Waipukurau), and Bill and Sarah (Waipawa), much loved “Popeye” of Ben and Sam; Carla, Adam and Leigh; Brendon, Kiri and Samantha; Kirsty and Lee; Mandy, Lana and Caine; Natasha, Daniel and Rebecca; Fiona and Andrew; Nikki and James; and great-grandad of Ellen, Paige and Ana-Rose, beloved brother of Mercia Taylor (Waipawa).
Special thanks to Captains June and Harold, buddy Bill, staff and friends of Omahanui Home who made Tip feel so special for the last two and a half years.
Special thanks also to the staff of Rodney Francis Ward, Napier Hospital.
A funeral service for Tip will be held in St Peter’s Anglican Church, Waipawa, tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9, 1997 at 11am followed by private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
These may be left at the Church or posted to P.O. Box 200, Waipukurau.
