THORNTON, William Thomas (Bill).
On August 7, 1998 (peacefully at home, surrounded by his family) at Gisborne.
Dearly loved husband of Margaret (Peggy) for 59 years.
Much loved father and father-in-law of Albert and the late Elaine, Hugh and Norma (Waipawa), Robin and Carol (Taupo), Peter and Annette, Dale, the late Christopher, Ian and Sue (Hines, Ashburton), Caroline and Trevor Hawkins, David and Cathy, also a treasured Grandad to his many granchildren [grandchildren] and great-grandchildren.
Aged 86 years.
The funeral service will be held at the Son City Church (Apostolic), Lowe Street at 11am on Tuesday, August 11, followed by private cremation.

Loved, cherished and treasured dad, grandad and great-grandad of Norma and Hugh Thornton, Debbie and Karl Hannah, Nicola and Phillip Vallance, Joanne Thornton, Zek, Chloe, Kayla, Jessi, Jaclyn, Saralee, James, Holly, Callum, and Thomas.
