Mar 21st 1926
About 5.30pm received word of fire on A&P. Showgrounds. Proved to be hedge in Elwood Road opposite W. Rosenberg’s house. Bucket brigade was formed & by 6.30 pm all signs of fire were extinguished.

Pressure on pump 125 lbs [pounds] per square inch.
Using 1” [inch] & 3/4” branches together, pressure reduced to 93 lbs per square inch.
Throwing water to a height of 50′ [feet] & a distance of 75′.
Using 1” branch alone, pressure reduced to 100 lbs per square inch, throwing water to a height of 100′ & a distance of 100′.
Using 3/4” branch alone, pressure reduced to 108 lbs per square inch, throwing water to a height of 120′ & a distance of 120′

A fire broke out in Blacksmith’s Shop on Sat 29th last at 9.50pm apparently caused by spark from forge. Damage confined to one wall. Alarm was given by Mr J. Luxton who rendered assistance with gear.
