Dear Mrs Ballantyne,

Enclosed is a copy of the group photo taken 27 years ago at the tree planting. I did enjoy my visit to the old place on the 17th, & the look round revived many memories.

I hear from Dick that he has been back to plant a rimu tree. It has been suggested that you would be agreeable to my planting a native too.

I have included the names of all those present in the original photo.
