Tribute to Percy Spiller 1957

A TRIBUTE . . .

At this time, the sixtieth Jubilee of the “Frivs,” we would like to pay a tribute to the late Percy Spiller.

Percy was one of the original “Frivs” and for the first few years he played the cornet in the orchestra, but later went on the “corner” as one of the traditional “Friv” corner-men.

Except for a short time spent in England, he was an active member until 1949, a short time before his death.

As secretary and producer he led the “Frivs” for over 40 years, and his advice was much sought after in the amateur theatrical world.

We will always treasure his great leadership.
