VAN BOHEMEN, Jacobus Cornelis – Jack.
On 20 August 2021 Jack, aged 94, died peacefully at Ashcroft House, at the Mary Doyle Village in Havelock North.
He was born in The Netherlands in 1926, the eldest son of Gerardus and Catharina, and brother to Nico, Cor, Anny and Rietje.
He came to New Zealand in 1951 where he met and married his beloved wife Eve.
They were married for sixty-nine years.
He was a most loved father and father-in-law of Rina and Gerald, Gerard and Barbara, Stephen and Andrea, John and Sarah, and Christina and Aaron.
He was also the proud Opa of Juliet, Olivia, and Rosamond, Charlie, Samuel and Joseph, Hugo, Clare and and Sophie, James, Tom, Matthew and William, and great-Opa to Beatrix, Maude, Paloma, Joseph and Juno.
We shall miss him very much.
A Requiem Mass will be held for Jack when the appropriate Covid restrictions are lifted.
We are grateful for the love and kindness of Jack and Eve’s carers at both Bramlee and Ashcroft Houses.
