Born Palmerston North 18 September 1934, daughter of Hon Sir George McInnes McGregor, formerly Senior Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court.

Educated Woodford House, Havelock North; Otago University 1952-56; Victoria University College, Wellington 1957-58, 1960 – LLB (NZ) 1959.
Member of the Commerce Commission, Senior lecturer in Law, Auckland University, barrister, formerly secretary Law Reform Commission, solicitor Justice Department, legal advisor Civil Aviation, solicitor in private practice.
Member of Senate, Academic Committee, and sub-dean of Faculty of Law, Auckland University.
Company directorship: ACC 1987-.
Publications include many articles and papers mainly on accident compensation, medical liability, tort and aviation law.
Member Ethical Committee, Health Research Council.
Leisure activities include walking, swimming, watching daughter sail.
