THE YEAR’S ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL INFORMATION

FEBRUARY   8th: Bell & Howell projector purchased with proceeds from the sale of wool donated.

APRIL   Tenders called for school house.

JUNE   18th: Commenced building house

AUGUST   Wedding presentation to Mr. Foster – Married on 18th August at Dunedin.
Private Mail Bag obtained for the school.

SEPTEMBER   24th: Took up residence in school house.  Home and School Association formed.

OCTOBER   15th: School house completed.

NOVEMBER   30th  Sports Day at Sherenden.

DECEMBER   In order to raise money every Householder asked to donate 2 ewe fleeces.
Children taken by bus and private cars to Willowford for swimming.
Mr E Richards took school photos – Also Batchelors.
Mr D R Neill built the football goal.
Flag pole erected.

NEEDLEWORK:  Mrs D Fountaine and Mrs N Goulding.  Later Mrs Patterson and finally Mrs Foster.
