WARD, Mary Gertrude
On July 16, 2006, died peacefully at Brittany House, aged 93 years, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Dowling Gilbert Ward.
Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Ivy and the late Trevor Roberts, Shona and Kevin Lawrie, Aline and Alan Lucy, Pamela (Sister of Mercy), Barrie and Jan, Brian and Kevin (deceased), Theresa, and Philip and Cushla.
Much loved grandmother of Suzanne, Lynette, Janice, Pauline, Patricia, Alison, Angela (deceased), John, Christine, Stephen, Susan, Michael, Tony, Trudy, Sarah, Frank, Michael, Anne-Marie, Kevin, Jennie, Craig and Glen, great-grandmother of 40 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes’ Church, Te Mata Road, Havelock North on Wednesday July 19th, at 1.30pm followed by interment at the Havelock North Cemetery.
The Rosary will take place at 7pm on Tuesday July 18 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Special thanks to the staff at Brittany House for their loving care of Mum and grateful thanks to Father Cleary for his spiritual care of our darling mother and special thanks to the Grove Road Marist community for their care and dedication to the residents.
