Died peacefully at Reeve House, Mary Doyle Retirement Village, Havelock North, surrounded by his family.
Much loved son of the late Sir James Wattie and Lady Wattie, brother of Gordon (deceased), and loved cousin of Jean Wattie.
Loving and devoted husband for 57 years of Zeta.
Cherished and adored father-in-law of Janine and Brian, Caren and Adam, Bruce and Kathy, Anne and Tony.
Caring and special Grandad of Lisa, James and Ruth, Isaac and Ama, Laura, Hannah and Tom, Poppy and Scarlet.
Great Grandad of Charlie and Harry.
As per Ray’s wishes a private service has been held.
“We would like to thank the staff at both Goddard House and Reeve House at Mary Doyle Retirement Village. Your loving care of Ray over the years made his time with you very special. We appreciate the care and kindness you showed towards him”.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated and may be sent to PO Box 11103, Hastings 4122.
