Hawke’s Bay visitors to Sydney for the Spring Race Meeting: Mrs. J. S. McLeod, of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay (right), and her daughter, Miss Audrey McLeod, who are at the Hotel Australia in Sydney for the Spring Meeting at Randwick. Together with Mr. McLeod, a prominent Hawke’s Bay owner, they went across on the maiden voyage of the Awatea. Mr. McLeod is president of the New Zealand Racing Conference, and will be represented at Randwick by Only One, a two-year-old.
