Opening Hymn

Here I Am Lord

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save.

I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord,
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord,
If you will lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne My people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.

I, will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them,
Whom shall I send?

Chorus

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame,
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.

Finest bread I will provide,
Till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give My life to them.
Whom shall I send.

Psalm 23

The Lord’s My Shepherd

The Lord’s my Shepherd; I’ll not want,
He makes me down to lie
In pastures green; He leadeth me
The quiet waters by.

My soul He doth restore again,
And me to walk doth make
Within the paths of righteousness,
E’en for His own name’s sake.

Goodness and mercy all my life
Shall surely follow me,
And in God’s house for evermore
My dwelling place shall be.

For through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you: Fruit of the vine and work of human hands, it will become our spiritual drink.

Response   Blessed be God forever

For the praise and glory of his name, for our good
And the good of all his holy Church.

And profess your Resurrection until you come again.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
that trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

(Priest)

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Sign of Peace

Priest:   The peace of the Lord be with you
Response:   And with your spirit

Lamb Of God

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Priest:   Behold the Lamb of God,
Behold him who takes away the sins of the world
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

Response:   Lord, I am not worthy
That you should enter under my root
But only say the word
And my soul shall be healed.

Communion Hymn

Come As You Are

Come as you are, that’s how I want you
Come as you are, feel quite at home
Close to my heart, loved and forgiven
Come as you are, why stand alone?

No need to fear, love sets no limits
No need to fear, love never ends
Don’t run away shamed and disheartened

Rest in my love, trust me again.
I came to call sinners, not just the virtuous
I came to bring peace, not to condemn
Each time you fail to live by my promise,
Why do you think I’d love you the less?

Come as you are, that’s how I love you
Come as you are, trust me again
Nothing can change the love that I bear you.
All will be well, just come as you are.

Recessional Hymn

All Things Bright And Beautiful

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun.
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.

The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God almighty,
Who has made all things well.

OUR POPPA

Our Poppa, cheeky and charming,
We can see why our nana chose him!
Our luck could not have been better,
We truly have the best Poppa ever!

A true down to earth kiwi bloke,
To him the deep south reigns supreme.
We remember the bittersweet moments,
As he embarks on his heavenly dream.

A true navy boy,
And a ladies man at best!
So many tales of his childhood and fishing,
His stories will always stand the test.

Nana and Pop over 60 years of marriage,
We couldn’t think of a more perfect pair.
So many years of laughter and memories,
Always so cute sitting in their matching chairs.

Hours spent in the sunroom,
Watching all the people go by.
Then onto his beloved police scanner,
Listening intently to see
if they’d caught the bad guy.

When he’s not being nosy the radio’s on,
Crossword out as Nana sits and knits.
Occasionally though we must admit,
Sometimes the words just don’t fit!

His little blue car could take him so far,
More than likely to New World for that 5.99 red!
Heading straight home as he can’t be late,
For Nana’s consistently delicious spread!

A few missing teeth yet perfect feet,
Curly hair and his colourful braces.
Out an about flirting with all the ladies,
Pop and Doug having walking frame races!

He takes time and cares about everyone he meets,
Charming and charismatic to the bone.
Spoilt too, as he must be the only man in Mary Doyle,
To have his own personal shed throne!

Waving hello to each and every friend,
Pop was the kindest person we’ve ever met.
Always showing off his devious grin,
A good time with him we could always bet!

Who could forget the infamous W,
In his garden so much time he would spend.
Colourful flowers and quirky trees,
Each little area he would patiently tend.

Never a person he couldn’t make smile,
He makes the world so much brighten
Even to the nurses who all loved his sense of humour,
They all mentioned he was such a great fighter!

Strong of heart,
And always of wit,
That cheeky twinkle in his eye will never dim,
In us all, a flame he has lit.

It’s once in a lifetime that you’ll meet such a man,
Our Poppa was certainly one in a million.
His loving memories will always live on,
Within all his many adoring grandchildren.

With love always,
Frank, Georgia, Grace, Luke, Blair, Abby, Greer, Mikaila, Catherine & Harrison, Richard, Katie & Todd xoxo
