Williamson, Alexander and Lindsey Service Sheet 1990

“Not by might,
nor by power,
but by my spirit.”
Zechariah 4:6

Service for Alexander (Alex/Sandy) and Lindsey Williamson held at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, Tennyson St., Napier on Friday 13 July 1990, at 1.30 p.m., thereafter private Cremation.

MINISTER:   Rev. Bob Foster
ORGANIST:   Mr. Percy Wilkinson
FUNERAL DIRECTOR:   Dunstall’s Funeral Service

HYMN:

“THE LORD’S MY SHEPHERD”

The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want;
He makes me down to lie
In pastures green; He leadeth me
The quiet waters by.

My soul He doth restore again,
And me to walk doth make
Within the paths of righteousness,
E’en for His own name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale,
Yet will I fear no ill;
For Thou art with me, and Thy rod
And staff comfort still.

My table Thou hast furnished
In presence of my foes;
My head Thou dost with oil anoint,
And my cup overflows.

Goodness and mercy all my life
Shall surely follow me,
And in God’s house for evermore
My dwelling-place shall be.

HYMN

‘HOW GREAT THOU ART”

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the works Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed;

Chorus: Then sings my soul, my saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

And when I think that god, His son not sparing,
Sent him to die I scarce can take it in,
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin;

Chorus

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
And I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my god, how great Thou art!
