Born Hastings, 27 December 1931, son of James Bracken Wilson and Mary Caroline (nee Jones); m Noeleen Gwladys Thomson, daughter of Alexander and Beryl Thomson, 1961; four sons.
Educated Mahora Primary School, Hastings; Dannevirke High School; Victoria University, LLB 1958.
Admitted Barrister, Solicitor, 1958; Partner, Welsh McCarthy & Wilson, Hawera, 1960-71
Notary Public 1966; SM, Wellington, 1971-73; District Court Judge, Tauranga, 1973-88 (retired); Relieving District Court Judge, 1988-
Member, Taranaki District Law Society 1968-69, Vice President 1969-70.
President, Victoria University Students Association, 1957-58
Past Member, Hawera, Otumoetai Lions Clubs; Vicar’s Warden, St Mary’s Church, Hawera, 1969-71; Member Waikato University Council 1973-81, Hamilton Teachers’ College Council 1973-81; Member Otumoetai College Board of Governors 1973-83, Deputy Chairman 1976-79, Chairman 1979-83.
