Born Hastings, 2 January 1958, daughter of Trevor George Wrightson and Pearl Marguerite (nee French)
Educated: Hastings Girls’ High School; Victoria University, Bachelor of Arts 1980; Massey University, Dip Bus Administration 1985.
TVNZ, 1981-90: held variety of posts in programming and production; Head of commissioned programmes, commissioning mainly drama, documentary programmes for TV One, feature programmes for TV Two, 1989-90
Chief Censor of Films (responsible for classification of films for public exhibition, mainly cinema; first woman, youngest person to hold post), 1991-;
Secretary/Treasurer, Media Women, 1982-85
Panellist, QEII Arts Council Creative Film and Video Fund, 1988-90.
Adult Literacy Tutor, 1987-88
Trustee, Wellington Arts Centre, 1988-
Recreations: film, performing and visual arts, NZ fiction, NZ film, TV production.
