1927, 45 minutes, silent movie with accompanying music. Set mainly in Hawke’s Bay.
Tells the story of a man (David Bryne) travelling from England to New Zealand. Starts with a ceremony when crossing the Equator. He gets a job as manager of Springfield farm, a farm run on old-fahsioned lines, neighbour to Carlisle Station.
Features Hawke’s Bay A & P Show, Waikoko Gardens, gannets at Cape Kidnappers. Also the Central Plateau and possibly the Rimutakas.
