Arrived in New Zealand on the brig “Reichstag” 1865
Builder and contractor
Came to Napier with his family to build the Western Spit Bridge, the Redcliff and Mohaka Bridges and numerous buildings in Napier
In partnership with Mr John Griffen, builder and contractor, he built the Meeanee Bridge and a new hall for the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons that had burnt down 1890
