Dear Sir,

Re: B.J. & E.I. Martin.

We obtained consent in April 1969 to a Specified Departure under Section 35 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1953, on application made by Mrs. E.I. Martin, for the establishment of a pottery workshop, kiln shed, and potters kiln for Mr. & Mrs. Martin. Condition 2 of the decision provdes [provides] that “the pottery workshop (including any display area) shall be a single storey building having a total floor area of not more than 1,000 square feet.” Mr. & Mrs. Martin have instructed Mr. John Scott to prepare plans for additions to the workshop to increase the floor area, still remaining within the maximum permitted under the Council decision. We are writing merely to draw the conditions to your attention, and have forwarded a copy of this letter to Mr. Scott for his information. If you can forsee [foresee] any problems we would be grateful if you would advise us as Mr. & Mrs. Martin will be overseas for some three months.

Yours faithfully,
BANNISTER & von DADELSZEN

Dear Sir,

Re: B.J. & E.I. Martin – Kamaka Pottery.

Attached you will find a copy of our letter of today’s date addressed to the County Council for your information. As far as we can ascertain you should have no difficulty in obtaining a building permit for Mr. & Mrs. Martin as they made substantial progress in the establishment of the pottery within 2 years of obtaining the planning consent.

If you strike any difficulties please do not hesitate to contact the writer.

Yours faithfully,
BANNISTER & von DADELSZEN
