Letter From George Nelson 1951

“KEIRUNGA,”
HAVELOCK NORTH, N.Z.

9th November ’51

My dear Henry,

So pleased to get your appreciative letter: it has done me good.

I too, thought Douglas did a good job: he covered the ground well.

What was said & done to honour the memory of the good old Dad was no more than his record entitled him to. If a long life of heavy responsibility nobly borne, constitutes a title to the honour & regard of one’s countrymen, then he has it.

With love from Eliz and me to you both

G.N.
