At its meeting held in May 1977, the Council of the New Zealand Society of Potters Inc. asked me to convey the appreciation of the council and of members to you in acting as a selector of work submitted to the 19th Exhibition in Christchurch in October 1976. Members of the Council acknowledged the time and effort put in by selectors and expressed confidence in the results that they had achieved. You will be pleased to know that the Christchurch group who were responsible for the organisation of the exhibition also indicated that they were very satisfied with the selection and believed that the exhibition had been of an excellent standard.
