The Insignia should be worn in the following manner:-
The Badge, with the Bow attached, should be worn on the left side when wearing civilian dress; but, when wearing uniform with a coat of military pattern, it should be worn in accordance with the Dress Regulations of the Service concerned.

In “Evening Dress” Ladies may wear Orders, Decorations and Medals in miniature on occasions when Insignia are worn, but when Gentlemen wear Levee or Full Dress, Ladies should wear full size orders, Decorations and Medals.

The Insignia are not returnable on death, but are retained by the person legally entitled to receive them, who should notify the Secretary. Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood, St. James’s Palace. London. S.W.1, of the date of decease.
