The engagement is announced of Mr Hector Smith, of Olrig, Hawke’s Bay, to Miss Gertrude M. Nelson, of Waikoko, Tomoana; also another engagement is announced – Mr Geo. Nelson, of Waikoko, Tomoana, to Miss Mabel Price, of Hawke’s Bay.

The marriage of Miss Nelson to Mr Hector Smith is to take place on February 27th, when they will leave for Sydney en route for England and the Continent, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
