Newspaper Article 1935 – Obituary – Mrs Winifred Beetham Nelson

OBITUARY

Mrs Winifred Beetham Nelson

There will be widespread regret caused by the notification in our columns of the death of Mrs. Frank Nelson, of “Rouncil,” Havelock North, who passed away on Sunday morning after a lengthy illness.

The deceased lady was born at Frimley, Hastings, being the eldest daughter of the late Mr. James N. Williams. She was well known throughout Hawke’s Bay for her kindly interest in all matters affecting the welfare of Hastings and Hawke’s Bay generally. She took a large interest in the Church of England, with which her family has been so long associated, and she was also actively interested in the Plunket Society and in the Woodford House School for girls. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and a son, who will have the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends in Hawke’s Bay and other parts of New Zealand.
