Newspaper Article 1986 – Poppelwells 60th Anniversary

Hastings business people watch as Mr Harry Poppelwell and his wife Janet cut an anniversary cake marking the firm’s 60 years in business. Mr Poppelwell, who later was to found Greater Hastings, opened his shop in 1926 on the same site in Russell St. Customers were given slices of the cake today.
