Newspaper Article 1992 – Anagama kiln

Hastings potters Estelle and Bruce Martin have built and fired a small anagama kiln so that they can continue to follow their interest in these special kilns.

The new kiln was fired for three and a half days, the colours produced being soft and lustrous. As potters they are pleased with the results and plan to use this new work to produce new work and also to re-fire special pots from the large 10-day fired kiln to gain an added enrichment of surface and depth of colour.
