The countries represented in the exhibition are: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, USA, USSR, Wales and New Zealand.

The award organiser, Moyra Elliott, says that New Zealand potters have fared extremely well in selection for the exhibition, with 39 pieces chosen.
